Tuple

• Tuples Are Ordered i.e. Its elements can be accessed by using Index.
• Tuple Can Contain Arbitrary Objects. i.e. any type of objects.
• Tuples Are Immutable. i.e. contents of Tuple cannot be changed once it is created.

<tuple-name>=(value1,value2,...,valueN)

tp1 = ("apple","banana","cherry")
tp2 = ("Amit Jain",23,"male")
tp3 = (4117,"Amit Jain",['C','C++','Java','Python'])
print(tp1)
print(tp2)
print(tp3)

('apple', 'banana', 'cherry')
('Amit Jain', 23, 'male')
(4117, 'Amit Jain', ['C', 'C++', 'Java', 'Python'])

Accessing elements

• Individual elements in a Tuple can be accessed using an index in square brackets.
• Tuple indexing in Python is zero-based: the first item in the list has index 0, the next has index 1, and so on. The index of the last item will be the length of the tuple minus one.

<tuple_name>[index]

<tuple_name>[startindex:stopindex:step]

• indicates beginning of sublist
• Default is zero
• Sublist includes element from start index

• indicates end of sublist
• Default is end of list
• Sublist excludes element from stop index

• Indicates next element
• Default is 1
